Program Description

VIPS

Our Volunteers regularly patrol the city assisting the sworn officers by enforcing parking regulations, performing VIN inspections, traffic control at accident, crime, and event scenes. We are proactive, authorized to provide written warnings to violators, and citations to Handicap Parking violators. We take reports at parking lot accidents, and assist traffic officers in public street crashes. We assist in missing persons, disasters, wherever our services can be applied. Our office volunteers provide fingerprint services to the public, and perform data entry and filing duties in the records department. We have volunteers at the Animal Shelter, and soon will have them patrolling the city's bicycle paths.
