Program Description

The Croton-on-Hudson Auxiliary Police is a volunteer unit consisting of 5 State Certified Sworn Peace Officers (three are State Certified Peace Officer with Weapons). Their duties are primarily traffic control, but other details include Park Patrols, regular traffic posts, patrols at Village functions. They were activated and reported for duty with our regular officers on Sept. 11, 2001. When on duty they may be dispatched as needed to assist our regular officers with tasks within the scope of their duties and training. The Team has an active recruiting program and is open to accepting new members who qualify.
