Because of the national VIPS Program, the Fairfax County Police Department is able to broaden our base of potential volunteers not only within Northern Virginia but throughout the country by use of the VIPS Website.

Program Description

Grand Rapids, Michigan is home to the Grand Rapids Police Department's Senior Volunteer Neighborhood Services Program as founded in 1994. In conjunction with Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP), the Department has been able to develop an Award-winning Program as supported by the presentation of the Webber Seavey Award for Quality in Law Enforcement in 1995.

Members of the Program serve our community and Department by responding to Found Property, Abandoned Vehicles, parking violations, and more. The officer hours saved by their services is staggering.

For more details on the Program and services provided, please contact Lorna Zemaitis at 616.456.3328.
